Memorial Day Gratitude Poems ~ Twitter Sized Poetry

Even with the limited vocabulary list that gives us, I eeked out 3 with a Memorial Day Gratitude theme.

Had to fudge a little, and use their word "steel" for "steal" -- but it's the thought that counts.

Here they are:

  • Celebrate our fathers who have killed men over there / live or die - they did the job / for we who go free here
  • They bleed for peace / they kill, perhaps die / so trouble's fist may never steal our sacred freeness away
  • Why remember them? / we have asked our young sons to bleed and die / so our lives will be free and peaceful
